This titanium soldering grid (platinized titanium) is perfect to use for tripod work.  It is strong but lightweight and not a heat sink.  It can be cut with the shears (not included).  The tripod is a ceramic stilt available at ceramic suppliers (also not included).

It’s perfect for working on a smaller turntable and you can get your torch underneath it while turning the tripod!

-openings in the grid are 4mm x 9mm
-it’s 2” x 6.5”
-you can cut it easily with shears and open the slots more with round nose pliers
-you can saw out sections to make a slot for a ring shank

The Ceramic Part is available for a limited time here and can be found at your local pottery supplier.  It is 3” tall and 3.25” wide.  The ceramic material can withstand heat and the metal coming out of the top is made of kanthal wire and can take temps up to 2550F.

The grid can also be used as an anode for plating.

Cut into into 3 triangle pieces to make the most of the material!  With the 2” wide titanium you may need to use needle nose pliers to fit it onto the ceramic kanthal posts.  Lightly hammering the titanium can also spread it wider to fit better on the posts.
