The Blog Carnival….a group of jewelers get together via the web, once a month, to post on a topic that has to do with jewelry.  It's a fun way to hear different opinions from wonderful artists.  Hope you'll visit their sites and read their great blogs

This month's blog topic: your favorite publication

As you all know I love anything with pictures.  I collect magazines at an alarming rate.  I subscribe to everything fashion, jewely, and art related.  I don't really read much of them, but scan pictures for ideas, inspiration, innovative design, colors, shapes, trends etc.  I also collect books and try to stock books at Whole Lotta Whimsy that I think are great.  IMG_1446

My favorite books are the newest ones of course.  I am looking forward to getting Jeanette Landenwitch's book, Barbara Simon's, Linda Kaye-Moses's , 500 Enameled Objects, and about 5 more that come out between now and May!  WLW will have them as soon as they are available!  Exciting!  Can't wait!

Here are pictures of my publication obsession.  I keep thinking I should sell some of them…but I just can't part with them.  My husband has a casita or small house on our property that is also his office.  He has this great  big bookshelf and I told him some of my books will be migrating to his library.  He didn't appreciate that so much…but I'm running out of room.  What's a girl to do?

I do love these magazines: Art Jewelry and Jewelry Artist.  I also love to look at Belle Armoir, Cloth Paper Scissors, Ornament, Crafts Report, Art Calendar, Polymer Clay Cafe, Glass Art, The Flow, American Style, Glass Craftsman, American Craft, Somerset Studio,  and Somerset Journaling.
