About Tonya Davidson

Tonya Davidson

Idea Strategist. Client Culture Catalyst. Launch Mentor. STANDout Brand Developer. Speaker. Author

Tonya DavidsonI’m like you. I’ve been in your shoes. I can relate and empathize with your journey of the entrepreneur. It’s not a path to get rich fast, but if you have something from your soul to share with the world, it’s the only path.

I wasn’t born with these skills or knowledge. Sure some of it was talent, some of it a great education and mentorship, but most of it was, what I call, created in-the-trenches experiences in serial entrepreneurship. I believe you teach best when you have tried it yourself. I love teaching and it’s one of my blessings. I don’t teach theory.

A confession…I’ve never worked for corporate america unless you count my high school and college numerous experiences in everything from fast food to big retail. My post college jobs were at other entrepreneur’s businesses, watching them pave their own trail. Some failed and others succeeded and the nuggets were shared and duly noted. But I can proudly say that all of my businesses have been successful including my last retail/wholesale business that I started out of my garage which did nearly 10 million in 10 years.

Strange, interesting and diverse jobs and experiences have opened my mind and eyes to see things that most probably do not. I’m a detail girl. I have always found human nature or psychology of particular interest (thus the minor in Psychology). Why we do what we do and why one thing works while another doesn’t, has always driven my next move, next test, or my fact finding excursion.

My name is Tonya Davidson and I’m best known for being the idea strategist who takes your best ideas, sprinkles in a whole lotta creativity, turns it on the side, shows you a different way to stand out, and makes sure your story and Soulful Superpower™ are flavored throughout. Those ideas connect, engage and convert. I strive to get you a return on those ideas.

I want to share with you what I know, what I’ve learned from being an obsessive researcher, fact finder and gather of successful conversion strategies. I want to make sure your road is a bit less filled with potholes and diversions! Most of all, I want all your hard work to allow your business to Be Seen, Be Heard, and Be Remembered™.

Others call me the “encyclopedia”, “a wealth of knowledge” and time and time again say they got 5 great things from working with me: “empowered, confident, supported, clear, and productive”. I’d love to consult, mentor, coach…whatever you want to call it…with you!

Connect with me socially on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, or Linkedin. I want to get to know you as well. You also can email me at to schedule a Discovery Session chat.

15 Curious Things About Me:

  1. 1

Family is my #1 priority. I’m an only child and have an only child. I spend the bulk of my time with my boys (hubby, son, father). In fact I can count on two hands how many football practices I missed last year. Yes, practices. Of course, not a game was missed!

  2. 2

I’m a collector of tchotchkes: feathers, Buddhist symbolic artifacts , milagros, religious candles, folk art masks, inspirational cards and quotes. I also collect stationary and journals. I love beautiful paper but then I’m not sure if what I need to write or who I am writing is worthy of those pages. So I just collect them.

  3. 3

I love communities and start a lot of groups. I’ve got alumni client groups, book club, challenge group, and more! I attend a lot of events and have done over a 100 tradeshow booths. The kicker is I’m an introvert.

  4. 4

I love scarves, purses, jewelry and perfume. Also pillows, candles, and holiday decorations. I’m an accessory lover because I believe it’s about the details.

  5. 5

I love animals and wish I had a big farm full of dogs, horses, baby goats, chickens, and bunnies. There is nothing like fur love.

  6. 6

I spent most of my childhood competing in sports (ski racing, swimming, volleyball, and horse shows). So I’m more than a little competitive about everything else too.

  7. 7

My hobby is to make jewelry and watch my son play football. However, I don’t sell my work or wear it very often. For me it’s more about the process, not the end result.

  8. 8

Jewelry teaching, making and selling tools and supplies used to be my life. I was a senior instructor for Rio Grande, PMC Connection and Art Clay World for 14 years combined. I’ve been part of 3 best selling anthology books in art. I innovated techniques and processes and enjoyed teaching workshops all over the country for many years. I have a killer studio and my jewelry friends are jealous of my tools (most men are jealous of my tools – sand blaster, compressor, shear, torches (5), hydraulic press and hammer collection).

  9. 9

I buy books that I never have time to read. I can’t resist. I am a hoarder of information.

  10. 10

I subscribe to over 15 magazines a month and have stacks of unread magazines at all times. This drives my family crazy and visitors threaten to steal an issue or two…because they know I’d fight them for it.

  11. 11

I am a serial entrepreneurist. I once wrote on a jury form as my profession “entrepreneurial slave” which got me selected because the public defender thought anyone who would put that on an official document had chutzpah. Lesson learned. Anyway, I love to create businesses and serve others.

  12. 12

I am part Native American (Rosebud Sioux tribe) and I farm wheat, milo, sunflower and graze cattle on my several hundred acre indian land in South Dakota.

  13. 13

Marketing and sales are like a big puzzle or game to me. I’m always looking for the angle that no one else sees, the piece that makes it all fit together, or a word that stands out for those extra points. Never happy with settling for what everyone else is doing.

  14. 14

I am loyal to those that I believe in. I actively look to connect those that I know, trust and like to others that could use their services. I’m a great ambassador and sneezer.

  15. 15

I grew up in the great outdoors on God’s magnificent rural land hunting for food, fishing, camping, hiking, biking, and more. But now I’m a total city girl who needs her Target, Starbucks, Barnes and Noble, Cost Plus and Home Goods. Any Gemini can understand there are two of us. Completely fulfilled.
